“I am so excited to bring my vibrant energy and personality to the listeners of the Western Cape!” he enthused.
“I’ve been very fortunate to call the station my home for the past three years, and I’m looking forward to starting my Sunday mornings with the family - easing everyone into the end of their weekend.”
Poole is also well-known for his engaging presence as a television host on the popular SABC2 show, “Hectic Nine-9”.
He attributes his knack for performance to the spirited upbringing he received in an extroverted family that encouraged him to pursue authenticity and courage.
Reflecting on his journey, he remarks, “Life so far has been filled with turning my dreams into reality. This is my seventh year in the broadcasting industry.”
In an interview with "Independent Media Lifestyle", Poole shared his childhood inspirations. “Growing up, I loved the magical feeling that television would give me."
"It was like the whole world stood still, and it was just me and my favourite talk show. Watching my favourite presenters on TV gave me hope," he explained.
This sense of responsibility to inspire others has been a guiding force in his career.
Poole started his journey in broadcasting at the young age of 15, embracing opportunities to MC and host events, which he credits for building his confidence.
“MCing gave me the confidence to stand in front of the camera and present,” said Poole, who landed his big break at 19 with a hosting role on the show “Hectic On 3”.
He reflects on the monumental support of his parents, whom he describes as “the epitome of strength and perseverance.”
They instilled in him the belief that his dreams were valid and that he, too, belonged in the world of broadcasting.
“They continually reminded me that my dreams are valid and that I am just as worthy as anyone else to be in the room,” he noted.
