April has arrived with a batch of fresh releases, from thrillers to romcoms, that will leave you entertained!

Here’s your guide to the must-see movies and TV shows:

“The Garfield Movie”

Who doesn’t love to re-watch a classic movie that will surely brighten your day with not only entertainment but childhood memories? “The Garfield Movie” is the perfect choice for you.

Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure with his friend, Odie, after an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father - a scruffy street cat, Vic.

Garfield and Odie are forced to leave their perfectly pampered life to join Garfield’s father in a hilarious, high-stakes heist to make up for a past betrayal from an old nemesis. 

Will they be able to complete the mission, or will they abort the mission?

“The Wild Robot”

From the film-makers of “How To Train Your Dragon”, “The Wild Robot” is an animation movie that brings you along through the adventure of ROZZUM unit 7134, that is called Roz for short.

Roz finds himself in an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the new yet harsh surroundings while trying to build relationships with the animals on the island.

The film also features the voice talents of Emmy winning Mark Hamill, Matt Berry and Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee, Ving Rhames.

  • It airs on M-Net (DStv channel 101) on Saturday, April 12, at 3.50pm.

“Meet The Khumalos”

This comedy follows Grace Khumalo,  a woman whose world is turned upside down when her high school rival, Bongi Sithole, moves in next door.

While the two mothers are plotting against each other, they soon discover that their children are madly in love with each other. The mothers then join forces to break up their children. 

This movie includes an all-star South African cast such as Khanyi Mbau, the late Connie Chiume, Ayanda Borotho, Jesse Suntele and Khosi Ngema.

“Makoti, Are You The One?”

Mzansi Magic is bringing the third season of the beloved reality show that delves into the heart of South African culture as it shows viewers what it takes to be a bride.

From cultural and societal expectations, this reality show navigates the makoti duties that one has to go through throughout 21 in her potential in-laws home.

The third season is bringing four brides and it promises to bring drama, emotional confrontations and unexpected twists.

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (S14)

It follows the lives of some of the most affluent women in the world as they enjoy the lavish lifestyles only Beverly Hills can provide.

Season 14’s stars include former Netflix chief marketing officer Bozoma Saint John, who grew up in Ghana and Kenya, and actresses Garcelle Beauvais and Kyle Richards, who’ve both picked up multiple People’s Choice nominations for the show.

Also among this season’s line-up are Erika Girardi, fashion designer Dorit Kemsley, and socialite and businesswoman Sutton Stracke.

Philanthropist and entrepreneur Kathy Hilton (Paris Hilton’s mom) and Oscar nominee Jennifer Tilly are joining the cast as friends of the housewives.
