If you aren't in the mood to shake your booty this Friday, how about enjoying a cultural cinematic experience at the Indian Film Festival at Cinema Nouveau, Gateway, from today until next Thursday. The festival, which is free to the public, is a joint venture between the cinema and the Indian High Commission in South Africa. The line-up kicks off with Prakash Belawadi's Stumble at 5pm and Ashutosh Gowarikar's Oscar-nominated period epic Lagaan at 8.15pm.
Not to be missed on Saturday is the Unite of the Stars Concert at Suncoast Casino & Entertainment World. British and Irish superstars Will Young (pictured) and Ronan Keating will light up the stage along with '80s pop sensation Bananarama, young jazz sensation Renee Olstead, the Mexican-American heartthrob Marcos Hernandez and X Factor 2005 winner Shayne Ward. Part of the proceeds of the concert will go to the Unite Against Hunger charities.
