The stunning Bonang Matheba hosted the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant for the fourth time on Saturday night. While her hosting skills were impeccable as always, her five outfits, which were styled and designed by Nigerian creatives, truly stole the show.

The presenter wore five outfits on the night. One more extravagant than the other.

Nigerian stylist Dahmola was responsible for pulling all her looks together.

Bonang’s first look saw her sport a green and blue beaded gown with an intricate bottom. It was designed by Nigerian designer Veekee James who produced the dress in three days.

James shared the journey to creating the magnificent garment on social media.

This was the second time James designed a dress for Bonang for the Miss SA pageant.

Even though the stylist briefed her a month before the event, she only started designing it a week before the big night.

“It was so hard for me to come up with something,” says James.

“It was very last minute but it was God’s time,” she adds.

They started producing the dress three nights before the event and started the intricate beading work two days before the time.

Her second look on the night was designed by another Nigerian designer Somo.

The fully beaded light copper creation with beaded fringes hugged Bonangs body perfectly.

The dramatic headpiece made her look like a Greek goddess.

The third look was a floor-length champagne toned gown with big three dimensional flower details.

The stunning dress was designed by another Nigerian designer, Sheye Oladejo.

The accessories were kept simple with bold gold earrings as a chunky bracelet.

For her fourth look, Bonang’s stylist opted for a structured silver creation by Nigerian Mazelle Bridal.

It was covered in what looked like feathers which added to the birdlike theme as did the wing-like attachments.

To end the night she stunned in a white floor-length gown with a silver and aqua blue beaded bodice.

The folded white fabric was draped across her body and featured fairy-like butterflies. Her final look was designed by another Nigerian designer, Emagine.
