If there's one guy whose passion for all things automotive matches our own it's American talk-show host Jay Leno. He's also better connected than a telephone exchange, so it's no surprise that he got to drive a new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 - more than six months before its official launch in the second quarter of next year.
GM isn't letting out much detail yet about what it's hyping as the most 'track-capable' Camaro yet, but you can see for yourself that it has a body kit that includes a splitter, skits, wheel-arch flares, a spoiler and 19" rims shod with Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires.
NO AUTO OPTION
It's also known the Z/28 will come with a seven-litre LS7 V8 good for at least 375kW and 640Nm, and a six-speed manual transmission - there's no auto option, which should sort out the real drivers from the wannabees in the land where most people wouldn't know what to do with a clutch pedal if it bit them on the ankle.
One who does, however, is the aforementioned Mr Leno, so check out the video and listen carefully as he drops some insider numbers on how many Z/28's GM is planning to build and what they will cost.
