London - An online video stream of a giraffe about to give birth at a New York zoo was pulled from YouTube on Thursday when animal rights activists labelled it sexually explicit.
Jordan Patch, the owner of Animal Adventure Park, installed the camera to provide live coverage of 15-year-old April in her pen, who is expected to give birth within the next few days, until YouTube blocked it as sexual content is against its rules.
Patch blamed "a handful of extremists and animal rights activists" for interrupting the video stream, which was later resumed.
