Investing in property along the Southern Peninsula is considerably more affordable in comparison with coastal cities around the world, where luxury properties in popular destinations like the French Riviera often exceed €1 million (approximately R18 million.)

Marisol, an exclusive new townhouse development at 3 Thomas Road in Simon's Town, is emerging as a beacon of luxury living with a sophisticated blend of modern design and natural beauty, according to Emanuel Germanis, CEO and founder of Revo Property.

“Simon's Town offers excellent value for money, with properties often boasting stunning sea views and a desirable seaside village atmosphere. This contrasts with European markets where similar views and amenities might cost substantially more,” Germanis said.

Revo Property is a tech-enabled independent real estate company based in Cape Town. The company says it aims to address gaps in the property market by providing a comprehensive suite of services that cater to a diverse clientele, including individual buyers, investors, and developers.

Marisol is said to offer 13 premium two- and three-bedroom townhouses, ranging from 217 to 329 square meters in size and priced from R6 895 million (including VAT), each designed to reflect the serene, sandy hues and relaxed beauty of coastal living.

It is based in the heart of the distinctive coastal community, Simon's Town, a historic naval town filled with charm, from cobbled streets and lively harbour cafes to boutique stores and artisanal markets.

The close proximity to fantastic snorkelling and fishing spots, along with great restaurants and grocery stores offers luxurious coastal living coupled with convenience.

In January, John Loos, the senior economist at FNB Commercial Property Finance, told this publication that the migration of skilled and higher-income individuals to regions that offer better infrastructure and lifestyle benefits, particularly along the South African coastline, presents significant development opportunities.

He said the Western Cape, especially the Southern Cape and West Coast, as well as KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast, remained popular.

“There is growing potential for areas like the KZN South Coast and Eastern Cape Coast as affordability and crowding in the Western Cape becomes a concern,” Loos said.

Revo said Marisol, which is located on the scenic South Peninsula of Cape Town, Simon's Town offers a unique blend of lifestyle benefits, natural beauty, warmer climate, outdoor activities and cultural attractions along with investment potential that makes it an attractive destination for property investors compared to other global coastal locations.

Germanis said they have seen an incredible year-on-year surge in foreigners flocking to South Africa, driving up both property values as well as demand for short-term stay accommodation.

“More than ever, international buyers are not just visiting but investing in property here - something we're seeing mirrored among affluent local buyers as well,” Germanis said.

Each Marisol unit is said to offer a sublime ocean view, with the back of the development boasting endless mountain views.

Spacious living areas flow seamlessly into private balconies and covered patios, each home offering both, ideal for enjoying the stunning bay views. The design harmonises with the landscape, drawing on soft, neutral tones to enhance the light, airy feel of each townhouse, Revo said.

Marisol is positioned along the world-class South Peninsula Drive, close to well-known attractions- Boulders Beach, Millers Point, with hidden gems like Smitwinkelbaai nestled on the scenic coastline, situated just before Cape Point Nature Reserve.

The exclusive sales launch will take place on Thursday, April 24, at midday.  The Marisol units are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027, one can expect luxurious premium finishes, high-spec and practical kitchens and smart layouts that maximise ocean views.

Security is said to be a priority, with access control and secure parking within this gated community, offering residents peace of mind in a home that feels both private and inviting.

According to Revo, the Marisol townhouse development offers a unique opportunity for both local and international buyers to invest in a luxury townhouse complex with strong potential for rental income and long-term property appreciation amidst a backdrop of high demand and limited supply in the area.

With its exclusive location, this investment opportunity boasts a capital growth of 8%.

“Marisol is definitely a strategic investment opportunity for both local and international buyers, with the growing demand for luxury residences in Cape Town, the potential for rental income, and the long-term appreciation of property values in the area,” Germanis said.

Marisol is developed by Classic Collection, renowned for crafting exceptional spaces from world-class lodges to breathtaking coastal homes.

Bruce Wilson Architects, led by founder Bruce Wilson, known for their inspired and considered approach, are responsible for crafting the Marisol spaces that are both striking and deeply functional.
