You are able to star alongside any actor in the world in a romantic comedy. Who do you choose to star alongside?
Will Smith. Everyone knows what a big crush I have on Will. I will talk to Jada about isithembu, hahaha. I not only think he’s a good performer, but he also has a star factor about him, and he is a performer I enjoy.
The food that most reminds you of your childhood is…?
Lamingtons.
What is one thing that most people don’t know about you…?
I think people don’t realise how hard-working I am. For some reason I feel everything falls on my lap. I am one of the most hard-working people you can come across and try really hard to balance my life, with all the elements in it. I also believe in educating myself. By completing a lot of short courses as a measure of keeping my mind working, but also keeping well informed in the field I’m in.
How would you like to be remembered?
As someone who stood for what’s right. Perfectly imperfect human had a zest for life and living it to its fullest. Someone who loved her family and would go to the ends for them. Someone who respected those around her even when they did not deserve it. I was here for some real meaningful change for women and children.
What one thing has caught your attention on social media in the last week?
I have no idea… I mind my own business. But what has caught my attention with regards to news is the article of real talk yoga about a 12-year-old girl who was repeatedly raped by a gang of men for three days straight. That was the most vile, disgusting, inhumane and saddest thing I’ve ever read. It’s sad that our government spends money frivolously, yet it doesn’t help its people. It’s getting closer, though, that people will rise up and stand up to them as they did with the apartheid government.
Which fashion designer in the world would you love to collaborate with one day…?
Hermès, Chanel, Balmain.
Your favourite item of clothing in your closet currently is…?
All of them as they represent a piece of me.
What is your definition of love?
Love is when you want the best for someone and they are the best for you, and for you and your love life making each hurdle easier for the next step on. It’s learning the other party’s love language and delivering on it so they feel loved, respected, protected and cared for. It is delivering the hardest conversations with love so they may grow.
Your favourite restaurant in SA is…? And what do you order?
They would have to pay me for me to do that marketing for them LOL. But it’s in Cape Town.
A wild night out or Netflix and chill?
Netflix and chill, games night and conversation.
