In what will be an extremely busy day for Team SA at the Paris Olympics, it will culminate with Wayde van Niekerk attempting to make what could be his last-ever individual Olympic final.
9am: Golf - Starting the ball rolling, hopefully down the fairway, will be Ashleigh Buhai and Paula Reto in the women’s individual strokeplay first round.
9.30am: Canoe Sprint - Esti Olivier and Tiffany Koch will hit the water in the women’s kayak 500m heats.
10am: Sport Climbing - Me Janse van Rensburg will be competing in the men’s boulder & lead, semi-final lead.
10.05am: Athletics - Brian Raats will begin his campaign in the men’s high jump qualification round.
10.15am: Athletics - Marione Fourie will take part in the women’s 100m hurdles first round.
10.25am: Athletics - Jo-Ane van Dyk will launch her spear in the women’s javelin throw qualification round in group A.
10.40am: Canoe Sprint - Andrew Birkett and Hamish Lovemore will be in action again in the men’s kayak single 1000m heats.
11.55am: Athletics - Edmund de Plessis will be the only SA athlete taking part in the men’s 800m round one heat.
12.30pm: Skateboarding - Dallas Oberholzer will hope to impress in the men’s park prelims.
12.45pm: Cycling Track - Jean Spies will go in the men’s sprint qualifying round.
3pm: Diving - Julia Vincent will aim to wow the judges in the women’s 3m springboard preliminary round.
8.02pm: Athletics - Shaun Maswanganyi and Wayde Van Niekerk will compete in the men’s 200m semi-final.
8.45pm: Athletics - Miranda Coetzee will be the last SA athlete in action in the women’s 400m semi-final.
