CAPE TOWN – Stormers coach Robbie Fleck has made a number of changes to his starting line-up to face the Cheetahs at Newlands on Saturday.
Flank Cobus Wiese makes his first start for the Stormers and replaces the injured Rynhardt Elstadt, while fullback SP Marais returns after being rested last week.
Dillyn Leyds moves back to the left wing and fit-again Cheslin Kolbe on the right wing.
In midfield, Dan du Plessis partners up with EW Viljoen, and Dan Kriel will provide cover on the replacements bench.
Scrumhalf Jano Vermaak is back in the halfback pairing with Robert du Preez, while Pieter-Steph du Toit and vice-captain Eben Etzebeth return to the second row after being rested against the Sunwolves.
Frans Malherbe is also back in Fleck's run-on side after missing the trip to Singapore as part of the Springbok management plan and will pack down alongside hooker Bongi Mbonambi and loosehead prop JC Janse van Rensburg in the front row.
