Dublin – Ireland gave icon Brian O'Driscoll a rousing farewell in what was his last Test match at Lansdowne Road on Saturday as they ran out 46-7 winners over Italy in the Six Nations.
The 35-year-old centre – who set a new world record for caps with 140 – left the pitch on the hour mark having been instrumental in three of Ireland's tries and was named man of the match to enormous cheers.
O'Driscoll could round off his international career with the Six Nations title in Paris next weekend if they beat France, as victory over the Italians took them to six points with one match to play. – Sapa-AFP
