Rulani Mokwena’s future at Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca has been thrown into doubt after reports from North Africa suggest the club have been offered the services of Orlando Pirates boss Jose Riveiro.
After a difficult season, Mokwena’s job hangs in the balance with the club out of the title race and having been eliminated from the Moroccan Throne Cup.
And now, according to reports, Riveiro, who will be leaving Pirates at the end of the season, as announced by the club last week, has been offered to the club by intermediaries.

The 365Scores.com report states that the Spaniard will be available to accept a much lower salary package than Mokwena, who joined the club at the beginning of the season after being sacked by Mamelodi Sundowns.
Riveiro has had a somewhat successful three years in charge of the Soweto giants. In his first two seasons, he guided the Sea Robbers to back-to-back domestic cup doubles. They are well on course to do that again this season as they won a third straight MTN8 title in the season, and are in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup.
However, the club look like they’ll once again fall short of the Holy Grail as they trail Mamelodi Sundowns by 12 points in the Betway Premiership. To their advantage, they do have three games in hand, and they could bring that gap down to three points if they can win those games.
Coincidentally, while Riveiro has been speculated to replace Mokwena at Wydad Casablanca, Mokwena has been mentioned as a possible replacement for the Spaniard at Pirates.
