Activists and Citizens Forum (ACF) has accused both ActionSA and DA for not being principled.
ACF said both organisations said they would not work with the ANC.
“Both parties lack principles. Just a few months ago, DA and ActionSA wowed not to work with the ANC because the ANC is the most corrupt party in the country. During the May 29 election campaign, both parties’ campaign messages were the same ‘ANC must fall’.
“We are not surprised with the sudden change of heart – from ActionSA announcing that they have served divorce papers on the DA and have decided to go into bed with the ANC,” the organisation’s spokesperson Dennis Bloem said.
Bloem said ActionSA did not mince its words, when its leader Herman Mashaba vowed publicly that he didn’t see himself sitting around the same table with these bunch of corrupt criminals referring to the ANC at the time.
At the time, Bloem said Mashaba labelled the ANC a criminal syndicate, saying they were criminals who had destroyed the country.
“The language of both parties ActionSA and DA have since changed. They are in bed with the very same bunch of corrupt criminals. The voters of ActionSA and DA were terribly betrayed by these dishonest, unprincipled position mongers who will do anything in their power just to get positions for themselves and forget about the people who voted for them.
“The people of South Africa have clearly showed the ANC they don’t want them in power anymore, the election results were a clear and loud message to the ANC, that is why they got 40% of the votes. We are definitely sure that the followers of the DA and ActionSA are extremely disappointed that their parties have put the ANC back into power.”
ActionSA announced its divorce with Tshwane DA this past weekend, saying that his organisation was an independent political party and that no one would dictate for it.
“We are a party that believe in God, and when you believe in God, one has to make sure we make the right decision regarding people.”
