The countdown has begun for the long-awaited Miss Supernational pageant that will see contestants from across the globe battle for this coveted title.

Reigning Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane, has jetted off to Poland to compete in the prestigious event on July 15.

Mswane will face-off with beauty queens from across the globe in the battle for the Miss Supranational 2022 crown.

She will be representing South Africa for the second time on a global stage after making it to the top 3 in the Miss Universe showdown in Eilat, Israel, in December 2021.

The reigning SA queen did her countdown as she shared how pleased she was to be representing South Africa for the second time on the world stage.

Bubbling with excitement and gratitude Mswane took to her social platforms to share it with her supporters.

“And so the journey begins. This moment is a culmination of so much hard work, the support of the Miss SA organisation, my loved ones’ prayers and your love, South Africa. Thank you so much for vote messages, comments, reposts, and shares, I see and I feel the love.”

On her arrival in Poland, she received a welcome from several dignitaries such as the Minister of Human Settlements, Mmamoloko Kubayi. She also shared the experience on her social platforms.

“Today I was welcomed by minister Kubayi, Ambassador of South Africa to Poland NJ Mngomezulu, Mpumalanga MEC Speedy Mashilo and Western Cape MEC for infrastructure Tertius Simmers in Katowice, Poland.

‘’To fly half way around the world and be welcomed by smiling faces of my fellow countrymen is something. I hold it in my heart as continue on this journey.

“Thank you ambassador for making me realise that no matter where we are in the world South Africans will always be united in the spirit of Ubuntu.” she shared
