Woman arrested in R1million investment fraudulent scheme

A 52-year-old woman has been arrested by the Provincial Commercial Crime Investigation Unit for allegedly defrauding an investor of over R1 million through a fraudulent investment scheme called Hyperfund. The suspect, who will appear in Ritavi Magistrate court, allegedly promised returns within three years but later claimed the scheme had failed.
